With FAI Generation, GroundControl builds drawing ballooning and inspection reporting software for contract manufacturers, job shops, and build-to-print operations. GroundControl helps quality teams turn customer drawings and measurement results into first article inspection reports, with less manual data entry.
Founded in 2024 with a problem the team knew firsthand: finished parts waiting to ship while quality teams worked through inspection paperwork. The team brought together experience in PCB manufacturing and engineering software to make that work easier.
Today, inspection reporting remains at the heart of GroundControl. The company also builds tools for purchase order review and visitor check-in, and works directly with manufacturers on setup, training, and day-to-day reporting. For OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, it helps supplier quality teams collect, review, and analyze supplier inspection packages.
Based in San Francisco, Ground Control Software, Inc. is part of Y Combinator's Spring 2025 batch.

The government-cloud deployment of our AS9102/FAI and PO Review products runs in AWS GovCloud (US) and has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency following an independent 3PAO assessment, which allows it to store, process, and transmit CUI under DoD FedRAMP equivalency guidance.
